This story finds Jim a retired investigative reporter having a difficult morning. In his frustration he accidentally stumbles upon Drew is My Homeboy stickers around the neighborhood. His curiosity has him asking, "What is this all about?".

Jim learns about the impact this gentle, creative and funny young man Drew, had on his family, friends and coworkers.

He discovers that pancreatic cancer has taken Drew's life far too early. Jim is transformed and is able look at his own life differently after this investigation.

The movie showcases Drew's music and humor it is intertwined with interviews from his friends and family. It will make you laugh, cry and in the end you will get to know Drew...Everyone's homeboy.
